Sautéed Parwal

You will need:

  • 2 small parwal
  • 1 tsp spice mixture recommended for your skin or body type
  • 1 tbsp ghee (clarified butter) or extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh coconut
  • 1 tbsp chopped cilantro leaves
  • Rock salt to taste

Wash and scrape parwal and cut off and discard both ends.

Dice parwal into 1/2" pieces and steam for about 15-20 minutes until fork tender.

In a shallow pan, heat the ghee or olive oil.

Add the spice mixture and sauté briefly to release the flavor and aroma of the spices. Be careful not to burn the spices.

Add the parwal and salt to taste, mix well and sauté for 2-3 minutes.

Remove from heat and garnish with the coconut and cilantro.

Serve hot with a whole grain of your choice.

(Serves 1)
