How to make and apply a cleanser for dry skin

Materials: 2 tbsp coarse oatmeal, 2 tbsp fine-ground almond meal, 1/2 tsp rose petal powder, 1/2 tsp white sandalwood powder, 1 drop essential oil of lavender, heavy cream as wetting agent.

Step 1. Mix all the ingredients together to form a thick smooth paste.

Step 2. Apply to skin on face and neck in circular massaging motions.

Step 3. Let sit for 3-4 minutes.

Step 4. Rinse off with plenty of warm water.

Step 5. Gently pat skin dry and follow with a toner for dry skin.

Note: The dry mix for up to a week can be made in bulk and stored in a clean airtight container. Just add the lavender oil and the cream each time you are ready to cleanse.

This cleanser not only cleanses your skin, it also nourishes, moisturizes and exfoliates. The aromatherapy is an added balancing component for space or air skin.
